Anti-theft

The coverbox® antitheft feature includes: vehicle tracking, remote-immobilisation and a stolen vehicle recovery service. A coverbox® device immobilises your vehicle by preventing the engine cranking. A coverbox® device can only immobilise a vehicle if it is not moving and has been instructed to do so by a coverbox® Operator.

Once a vehicle has been reported to the police as stolen it should then be immediately reported to a coverbox® Operator for recovery. As soon as the vehicle is stationary and has been located visually by a Surveillance Officer it can be immobilised, recovered and returned to yourself for inspection.

coverbox® devices are designed, constructed and operated in-line with guidance from the Home Office and the Road Traffic Act (RTA).

Anti-fraud

To prevent fraud your vehicles identification number (VIN) and the vehicle's ABI code is hard coded into your coverbox unit.

The VIN and the ABI code help identify your car and prevent your car from losing its identity if it is stolen or written-off in an accident.

Mobile locator

This feature allows you to securely display on your internet browser a real-time map with the location of your vehicle plotted.

Via GMS mobile network messaging you can request the location of your vehicle receiving both a map with location highlighted and the closest known address.
